Are you a Problem Solver?  Are you Ethical and a Team Builder?  Are you an Expert in the HVAC field?  If so, Laney’s has a great opportunity for you in the role of HVAC Technical Advisor.  This a new position in our company, and as the HVAC Technical Advisor, you will be responsible for providing technical support and fulfill the technical needs of our service technicians, installation technicians, sales, and estimating staff as well as our customers.   You must have extensive field experience and extended knowledge in a variety of HVAC systems.  You must be a problem solver and great at troubleshooting.  If you are highly ethical, organized, team-orientated, and possess great communication and customer service skills, this opportunity may be right for you.   • Provide HVAC technical support for field technicians - both service and installation
  • Provide on-going training for HVAC field technicians - both service and installation
  • Oversee the coordination and scheduling of technical training for all HVAC field technicians
  • Troubleshoot and solve customer related technical issues
  • Work ‘hands on’ in the field in rectifying call-back situations
  • Conduct ride-along with field technicians
  • Assist sales and estimating staff in providing the best HVAC solutions possible on sales and bid opportunities
  • Assist in the allocation of necessary resources for our HVAC field technicians such as tools and equipment
  • Assist in managing inventory/truck stock for our HVAC field technicians
  • Mentor our HVAC technicians in the field


  • Extended knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Extensive experience as an HVAC service/installation technician
  • Be able to work in a team orientated environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work ‘hands on’ in the field when necessary
  • High ethics
  • Detail orientated with good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of required codes, etc.
  • Minimum of a journeyman license in the HVAC field, preferably a Masters license
  • Must have all required local licenses and certifications
  • High school diploma; further education will be a plus
